Parallel Activities

Hi

I would like to take a report of parallel tasks from entire project plan -
for example: Tasks starting on same date - by not mentioning any date in
filter. logically i would like to have a filter with Start Date. may i know
how to do this.

Thanks again for kind support

I suspect that you may have to use VBA for this.

But are you sure that your definition of parallelism is correct? What
if a task starts today and another tomorrow with them both due to run
for a week?

Muthukumar,
You mention the same starting date but nothing about the finish date.
Try an interactive filter using the following:
And/Or Field Name Test Value(s)
Start Equals "Enter start date"?

When the filter is applied a user message will appear asking for a date.
You could also extend the functionality by adding another line to input
the finish date.

Hope this helps.

Hi all

Thanks for the responses.

As suggested by John and Dave, VBA or filter can be used, however, my
requirement is to see parallel tasks for single plan ~ from plan start date
to plan finish date. For example: when the manager want to see how many
parallel activities are there in the plan so that if any activities can be
joined, and reduce the timeline and resource level. on this context if i use
VBA, i am unable to provide the logic in ms project plan.
