recently used files

I want to increase the number of files listed below File on the standard Word menu line
Currently the most recent 4 show up. I prefer to see the last 10
Is there a way to make the change?

Under "TOOLS" then "OPTIONS" go to the "General" tab and you will see something about "Recently Used File list".
Increase that number to 10.

It did? I've never seen a version of Word that allowed you to have more than
nine.
