Reinstalled outlook- where are old files

My turn for fun
users Mac couldn't open outlook anymore so it had to be
reinstalled, he had some old email in the folders that is
no longer there. I searched for pst files and there are
none.I renamed the outlook folder before I reinstalled but
can t find any of the old documents. Any help ?

I also have done the same thing, What is the best way to
recover this overwrite of files. Can someone explaing how
this actualy happened?

The old messages and stuff shoudl be in a file called Microsoft User
Data which on my mac is under Documents. If you have a backup of that
file it should have all the stuff in. I am not sure whether when you
reinstalled Outlook a new folder will have bben recreated in whcih
case you will have to trash the new file and replace it with the one
from your back up
