Resource Graph over-allocation

Hi

I am using MS Project to plan production in a manufacturing environment (not
ideal I know but it is the only tool I have).

I have come accross a problem that has me stumped when using the resource
graph.

The scenario is I have a task that takes 16 hours, allocated to one resource
and I have entered a duration of 2 days (we work an 8 hour day, therefore my
calendar is set to 8 hours). When I view this resource on the resource graph
it shows 16 hours per day, and there is no other work allocated to it.

I want the resource graph to show the work evenly, i.e. eight hours per day.
Alternativley if the task took 14 hours it should show 8 hours on day 1, and
six hours on day 2.

I would be delighted if someone can help me with this as it is really
hurting my brain (and my boss is annoying me about it!).

Thanks in advance

John

Hi Pominoz,

There are so many small problems I could imagine, but none is immediate.
It would be much faster if you send me the file
Decypher my address or find it on my website...

To the curious:
Problem solved.
Two problems:

1. Resource graph did not show work but peak units,
2. And in the assignment of the resource units had received the work value.
