Resource pools and project specific resources

Hello everyone

Just a quick query

If you have a shared resource pool with a number of sharer projects is
it then also possible to add resources to individual projects so that
they are accessible only to that project. For example you might have a
project that uses the resource pool but also has a resource that is
used only by that project.

I was always under the impression that you could add such resources to
the resource sheet of the individual project, but when I do this they
are also added to the resource pool, so they could be accessed by all
the other sharer projects which is not what I want.

Is there a way to do this, or is it impossible

Hi,

It is indeed not possible :-(
"Local Resources" exist in Project Server but not in Standard/Professional.

Many thanks for your reply.

It is strange that the professional version of project doesn't provide
this facility as it seems to be a fairly basic requirement; but never
mind Project Server it is then!

Hi,

Just to clarify.
There is no difference between Standard and Professiona, only that
Professionl can connect to Server.
