Setting Gantt Date Range

I am trying to display a selected date range within a Gantt Chart, but am
having no success in setting this up. For example: I filter on upcoming tasks
and would like to only view the next two weeks in the bar chart display
instead of the entire project's Start-to-Finish dates.

Yes, I have tried the date range filter throught the Autofilter and Project |
Filtered for: Date Range.

And what happened?
If you are just wanting to display (ie: present on the screen) then double
click on the timescale header and adjust it until two weeks covers the
screen.

I have a large project for which I built a custom filter that prompts for a
date, then filters to only tasks that have a start date >= the entered date.
After applying the filter, I see just the filtered tasks and their Gantt
bars; however, in the print preview, the Gantt part of the print starts with
the project start date (August 2006) rather than with the start date of the
filtered tasks (January 2006). I would like for the print to be the filtered
tasks and the portion of the total project Gantt chart that contains just the
filtered tasks. Any suggestions?

Hi Andy,

You can set a date range to print in the Timescale portion of the File >
Print dialog box.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

JulieS,

Much thanks. That allowed me to print exactly the timeframe that the
subteam requested. Very useful tip.
