Split tasks

Hi,
I already have a list of projects with a start date and contract duration. I
now want to insert a reminder to myself 12 weeks in advance of each project
start date, that the lead in activities should begin.

I could set up a linked milestone but that would double the amount of tasks
on the sheet.
Is it possible to do this via a split task and determine the period between
the split whilst the end date remains fixed?

I have 429 tasks on the sheet at the moment so a solution that could be
copied/dragged down would be ideal.

Hi,

I would use one of the custom Start fields and put a formula ion it to show
a date 12 weeks before Start date
Than a filter would show you what you want (incomplete tasks with Start2
before now, for instance)
