cant mention the dates i will have meeting with.

Now i am changing the project duration to 3 months and this is changing my

Vijay,
It sounds like your task type is still set at the default which is fixed
units. To do what you want, schedule a 2 or 3 month (duration) task that
has the equivalent of 30 hours of work anytime during that period, you
will need to change the task type to be fixed duration. The task type of
any individual task can be changed under Project/Task
Information/Advanced tab. If you want all your tasks to be fixed
duration (probably not recommended), you can set that under
Tools/Options/Schedule tab.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

When the start date changes due to the end date of the project, either the
task has the as late as possible constraint or it has a predecessor with
that constraint.

Vijay,
Sorry, I misread your original post. I thought you have a TASK of 2
months duration and 30 hours of work. I didn't notice that you said your
whole PROJECT was 2 months with one task for meetings.

The task for meetings should still be a fixed duration task if you want
to have it cover the whole project span but only have 30 hours or work
effort.

In your original post you mentioned that you want to change the duration
of your whole project from 2 months to 3 months. How exactly are you
doing that?

If you could explain the structure of you plan a little more thoroughly,
it would be a whole lot easier to help you.
