Tables to PDF

I

ianp

Hi there,

I'm working with a table in Publisher at the moment & have formatted all my
column / row gridlines to 0.25pt. However, when I convert to Adobe PDF, some
of the lines appear much thicker than the others.

Any Suggestions?

Have you tried printing the .pdf file? I've seen lines that look thicker but
print just fine.

Hi JoAnn,

Yep, it's fine when printed off, but the table is part of a presentation, so
it's a bit of a pain that it looks messy on the PDF.

Is this just a glitch on Publisher?

It isn't a glitch in Publisher. What version Publisher? What version Acrobat?
Acrobat has an option for different resolutions, have you tried adjusting your
output in Acrobat?

I think it's a graphics glitch, not a Publisher glitch.

Acrobat 6.0 & Publisher 2003.

How do I adjust the output on Acrobat?

When you select Acrobat as your printer, click properties, Adobe PDF settings
tab. The default setting is standard, expand this drop down and select a
setting.

Mary,

I have Acro 5 and I've noticed this time and again. Looks like crap,
prints fine. Changing settings doesn't seem to make a difference.

I made a couple of tables with all sorts of weird fonts and line weights,
printed to Acrobat 7, looks fine although the line weight with .75 and below
leaves a lot to be desired. Visually they look wider, I didn't print the
document.
Corel images with a hairline lines pasted into Publisher change into various
line weights. I wonder if it is a Publisher flaw.
