What does 10.1.4 fix in Word then?

I'm not that interested in Entourage and Exchange, although it will be
welcome for many I guess. Mactopia says there are fixes for Word, but
is awfully coy about what they might be.

I took a look at what the update brings:
The applications themselves are brought to version 10.1.4 as well as all
these components:

VBA Converter
ShMem.bundle
MS Structured Storage (Carbon)
MS OLE Automation (Carbon)
Microsoft Clip Gallery
Visual Basic for Applications
Microsoft Office Notifications
Microsoft Component Plugin
Microsoft Database Daemon
Microsoft Graph
Microsoft Conversion Library
Organization Chart X
Holidays
Microsoft Synchronization
Microsoft Framework X
MS Component Library (Carbon)
MS OLE Library (Carbon)
EPS Import
Metafile Import
Word 97-X Import
Word 4.x-5.x for the Macintosh
Microsoft Excel 2.x-10
Word 6.0/95 Import
Recover Text Converter

There are many things there that seem to be updated and are used by many
applications in Office.

Encouraged, I threw caution to the wind. The info window in the update
process said there was improved stability in handling nested tables
import. That's it for Word.

They did show me your list, and spotting eps import led me to believe
it might now know the difference between an eps and its preview.
It might, but it still prints the preview to PDF.

Also the 'about' box is not updated this time either. It still says v.X
service pack 1. Get Info in the finder says 10.1.4 though.

I guess the next few days will tell me if anything has changed much.

They don't say much. Word should also benefit from other modules like
OLE Lib. and various formnats imports though.

Quite true.....

Yeah, it's not that easy to find out everything that has been chaged
just like that.
