The answer to your question depends on what version of Word you have, and
what graphics filters are installed on your computer. The easiest way to
determine what kinds of graphics files your computer and your version of Word
can handle is to click on Insert | Picture | From File. Click on the
downward-pointing triangle at the right end of the "Files of type" box, you
will see a list of all of the graphic file types available to you.
