Assigning tasks - And have them automatically come off my list

I can Assign a task to another person. When the person completes the task
they are marking it complete.

I recieve an email saying the task is complete but then have to go to the
task list and take it off.

Is there a way where it would come off my list automatically?

David,
Since this is a Project newsgroup, I will assume the task list you refer
to is the compilation of Task Name descriptions shown on the Gantt Chart
view. Just because a task is completed, why do you feel it has to be
removed from the plan? Simply show it at 100% complete. It is a lot
easier to see progress on a plan when the completed history shows on the
display as well as the remaining tasks to be done.

Are you talking about assigning tasks off of your Outlook to-do list to
another person or are you talkin about assigning tasks to resources within
the MS Project project scheduling software?
