How do I move files from home computer to laptop without copying?

I am moving and will be disabled for a while. I want to move important files
to my laptop and email so I can access them. I am looking for the simplest
way to do it.

Perhaps you could email them to yourself, then check your email from your
laptop and save them on your laptop
