Is Error Guard a legitimate scanning program?

Every time I open my computer, Error Guard pops up claiming there are 142
errors. This is a program I am not familiar with and want to know if it is a
legitimate program that really does want to protect my pc from harm, as it
claims. Otherwise, how do I get it to stop popping up? I already have three
different scanning programs that I run regularly. Do I really need more?

I don't think so. ErrorGuard.com is very skimpy: 1 page of hype, 1 page of
"support" and just 1 email address as a contact (no phone, no physical
address). Very lame for what is supposed to be such an "advanced" product.

I wouldn't trust them.

A brief net search also found some references to it as malware, so it may be
tough to get rid of.

This system dumped errors onto my hard drive! Now I have little acces
to my system. I am not happy with this. How can I trust a company tha
would corrupt my system just to get me to purchase there product
