NonWorking time for a resource affecting standard calendar

N

need new ideas

I'm in Project 2000. I know - upgrade - but I can't do that right now.
Here's my problem: when I set non-working time for a resource, Project sets
the same non-working time for the Standard calendar - for all resources.
Maybe related: In the For: dropdown on the Change Working Time dialog, I only
see some of my resources listed. So, to set working time, I am using the
Resource Information dialog, which I get to by right clicking a resource name
in the Resource Usage view.

Any help would be appreciated. My next move is to create "vacation" tasks
for each of my resources. Please save me from this stupidity!

Hi

this is sounding quite "weird" and i've never seen this happen when using
ver 2000 ....
if you start a brand new project file with 2 tasks and two resources ...
does the same thing happen when you change a resource's calendar (btw i
always use resource information dialog to change resource's calendars so i'm
sure that's not the problem).

Cheers

Hi,

Confirming what Julie said: never seen this.

Vacation tasks a stupidity? I wrote an article recommending them, it's on my
Website, and Micrososft published it in the latest Office Newsletter...
